Show Influenza Spreads To Every Part of United States WASHINGTON, Oct. 9. Spanish influenza now lias spread to practically every part of the country. Reports today to-day to the public health service showed show-ed the disease is epidemic in many western and Pacific coast states as well as in almost all- regions east of tho Mississippi river. Its spread also continued in army camps, the number of new casos reported being greater than on tho day before. Influenza now is epidemic at three places in Arizona, in Maryland In many parts of Arkansas, in Louisiana. Missouri, Mississippi, Nebraska, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, Tennessoo, Texas, Vermont, Washington, West Virginia and other states. In Mississippi amusement places over the state have been ordered order-ed closed and all public gatherings prohibited. Camp Funston, Kan., reported 1430 new influenza cases today while Camp Custer, Mich., reported 1000 and Camp Taylor, Ky., 607. The highest number of pneumonia cases, 370 was reported at Camp Meade, Md., while Camp Custer had 275 new cases and Camp Grant, 111., 201. PERTH AM BOY, N. J., Oct. 9. An influenza epidemic which started here last week among refugees from the shell plant explosion at Morgan has spread until there are 5000 cases. Five churches and a clubhouse were converted Into hospitals to house the sufferers and a dozen stores are being equipped with cots to take care of the overflow. Red Cross doctors and nurses and government health authorities who came here to care for persons injured in the explosion arc still here aiding in the influenza fight. Twenty-eight of the victims of the explosion were buried in a cemetery at Ernston, near here, today. The victims vic-tims were placed in one long trench, each body in a separate- casket.
