Show I! il'DED SOLDIERS IDMISTEIEO TO By LOCAL CITEEI The Red Cross canteen ladles yesterday yes-terday had the great pleasure of ministering min-istering to the wants of eight wounded wound-ed American soldiers who just recently recent-ly arrived at an Atlantic port. The men are journeying to Letterman hospital hos-pital near San Francisco. Iff Included were Sergeant Frank L. Murray, Long Island, N. Y.; Private A. E. Miller, Oakland; Privates Sylvan Rourcle, R. E. Edstrom, Victor Gabri-elli, Gabri-elli, Julian Gompin and Richard D. Rcdick, all of San Francteco. Private Gabrielli wore the French i war cross because of his feat of bringing bring-ing In four prisoners though severely wounded. Speaking of their experiences on the French front the men expressed themselves them-selves as full of admiration for the fighting qualities of the Canadians and Australians with whom they had seen service. |
