Show Bill II i OGDEN STSTIOi LOGAN, April 10. Recruiting work being conducted by Captain Edwin G. Woolley, Jr., of Troop H Is progressing progress-ing rapidly. The following enlisted today: Preston A. Henninger and William Wil-liam F. Garnor of Millville, Andy Caf-fey Caf-fey and Edwin A. Vogler of Salt Lake, Denzle Tripp and George Anderson of Richmond, William C. Weiler of Whitney, Whit-ney, Idaho; A. T.. Larson and Orlando L. Allen of Cove; Niels A. Pherson, Jr., Charles K. McAllister, Samuel A. Dunn, Loster W. Dunn, George E Smith, Norwood F. Crawford and Steen H. Jenson of Logan. E. S. Stodtmeistor, U. S. N., opened a naval recruiting station In the federal fed-eral building today. The officers of the national guard expect to recruit tho troop to full war strength in the course of two or three days. The great patriotic demonstration demonstra-tion held Monday, when Major B. H. Roberts urged all tho young men of Cache county to rally to tho colors, is having the desired effect. A similar demonstration was held tonight at Hyrum, with troop H taking part Hyrum has twenty-two young men ready to make their choice of tho branch of tho service thoy wish to enter, and twice that number aro expected ex-pected to enlist. Senator C. L. Olson delivered a patriotic address at the mass meeting of tho Hyrum citizens. |
