April 10 The British casualties in the new offensive have been -light, due largely to the splendid artillery work The men walking back to tho hospital hos-pital stations from the forward moving mov-ing front give glowing accounts of how the Germans aro being "done" everywhere. every-where. After being bandaged hurriedly hurried-ly in the forward dressing posts the wounded men return whistling or singing sing-ing in high spirits. The crowded cages for prisoners at corps and divisional headquarters have been a source of greatest interest to tho Tommies who aro awaiting their turn at the front. They gather about tho outer clrclo of barbed wire and converse with tho Germans who are able to speak English. Even In this third year of the war waiters from London hotels who are captured anxiously anx-iously inquire how things ate going there and if the Zeppelins left any visible vis-ible Bigns on the city. Loud laughter rings about tho cages at some of these queries and the replies re-plies of the Tommies cause laughter In turn within the cages.
