Skinner Skin-ner of the Alharabra theater announced announc-ed today that a specjal section of the lower floor of tho Hudson avenue playhouse -would be reserved for ladies la-dies -who desire to accept the previously previous-ly extended invitation to attend the Harbertson-Hackenschmidt wrestling match Friday night, as guests of the management. It was thought that this arrangement would be more congenial for the ladies, to whom the treat will be in tho nature of a novelty. Harbertson has boen training on tho road and at the PIngree gymnasium for the past ten days or more and the fans who have been watching him keep his squad of trainers busy arc predicting that Hackenschmidt's unbroken un-broken confidence in his own ability will be sadly shaken before his bout with Harbertson is many minutes under un-der way. News from Hackenschmidt's camp at Cox's gymnasium in Salt Lake is to the effect that ho' has rounded into great form and, with the experience of years on the mat witji many of the greatest wrestlers in tfie world, Including In-cluding his brother George, Frank Gotch and Farmer Burns, working in his favor, expects nothing but victory Friday night. Jack Torres, who, in a ten-round match with Frank Barrieau, is to share the limelight with tho wrestlers, worked out yesterday afternoon at the armory and made a good impression on a number of local followers of tho boxing game. He will work out at the same place this afternoon and tomorrow to-morrow afternoon. Frank Barrieau was expected to arrive In the city today to-day for a couple of days" training. |
