Show 1101 PACIFIC WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE ALL FREIGHT That the Union Pacific system will endeavor In overy possible manner to keep Its trains moving, whether or not the trainmen go out on strlko next Monday morning, was evidenced in a telegraphic notice received late this afternoon by General Agent W H. Chevers. In part, the notice" says: "Referring to this company's embargo em-bargo dated Aug. 30, It has been decided de-cided that you are to receive any perishable or other freight that you are able to move. This applies to Union Pacific destinations or to foreign for-eign line destinations where we havo assurances that shipments will be accepted. All concerned should be instructed in-structed to work closely with traffic representatives and endeavor to first move such necessities of life as may be asked by the public authorities on the line of your division." nn |
