Show RESUME PROBER GIGANTIC STEAL Court Seeks to Know How Attorney Acquired Millionaire's Mil-lionaire's Property. Chicago, Sept. 1 Inquiry into the lost millions of Edward W. Morrison, aged millionaire, was resumed in the federal court here today with the object ob-ject of finding out how James R. Ward, attorney for Morrison, obtained title to propesty of the millionaire, valued at $2,000,000. Federal Judge Landls also sought an explanation of several check's Issued Is-sued to Ward, some them written in his own handwriting, which called for amounts ranging between $35,000 and $50,000. Joseph Bernstein, a junk dealer, probably will be recalled to be questioned ques-tioned regarding the death bed confession con-fession he said his wife made that Morrison was the real father of two girls the millionaire recently adopted. oo |
