Show GARRFJSON SEES THE PRESIDENT Washington, Sept. 1. A. S. Garret-son, Garret-son, spokesman for the railroad brotherhoods, held a brief conference with President Wilson today. When he left the White House he refused absolutely to say why he had called. The president kept the cabinet waiting wait-ing while he talked with Mr. Gar-retson. Gar-retson. White House officials said Mr. Gar-retson Gar-retson had-called to give the president "some information." Mr. Garretson refused to say whether wheth-er the discussed the calling off of the strike. There was every indication, indica-tion, however, that the administration expected the strike to be called off before be-fore Sunday morning. oo |
