OCR Text	Show uu CUBS TROUNCE CARDS IN POOR EXHIBITION. St. Louis, Sept. 1. Chicago romped over the locals yesterday, 8 to 1, in one of the poorest exhibitions seen on the local diamond. But one of the visitors' runs was earned and eight of the local's nine errors were made by the infield. Packard pitched a strong game, only one of the locals getting beyond first until tho eighth, when Smith's triple and a sacrifice fly by Long saved St. Louis from a shut-out.
