SALARY UREASES AT THE LOCAL POSTOFFICE . Increased In salary have been made to Miss Inez Cortez, chief clerk In the stamp department, and Claude E. Stewart, mailing clerk in the Ogden postoifice, according to an announcement announce-ment made by Postmaster W. W. Browning. Each of the two employees will hereafter receive $1200 a year. The making of these Increases marks the full utilization ofthe appropriation appropria-tion for the postotfice for the fiscal year ending June 30. The appropriation also provided for the addition of two men to the force of city carriers and for Improvements to be made in the federal building for the postofflce department. The Improvements Im-provements will Include cabinets for the use of the two new carriers and these will be Installed by October 1.
