Jensen entertained a few friends in honor of the twenty-fifth anniversary of their marriage. Special musical numbers were rendered. Wednesday, in the Salt Lake temple, Miss Leona Holmgren of Bear River j City, and Emery Reese of this city, were united in marriage. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John P. Holmgren and the groom is the son of Mrs. Martha J. Reese of this city. Thursday evening, Mrs. Oliver Jensen Jen-sen was given a parcel shower by a number of her intimate friends at the home of Mrs. Lizzie Burt. Among the guests were the following: Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Jensen, Mrs. Lizzie Burt, Misses Llllle Frederickson, Nondus Jeppson, Cleofa Jeppson, Lucille Jones, Ruby Christensen, Maurlne Olsen and Hazel Forsgren. Saturday afternoon Leland Edcty entertained en-tertained in honor of Lloyd Stohl, who left the following day for Los Angeles to join his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Oleen N. Stohl. John F. Olsen was tendered a reception re-ception Saturday afternoon, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John S. Christensen, Christ-ensen, in honor of his SOth birthday anniversary. Among the guests were two daughters, Mrs. L. J. Larsen of Long Beach, and Mrs. Anna Quist of Los Angeles. Friday afternoon Miss Mae Wilson entertained at a Kensington In honor of friends. Miss Lydia Hansen of Elwood has gone to Los Angeles, where she will spend the summer attending summer school. Mrs. John W. Peters and little son, Milton, are spending a few weeks in Portland and Hood River, Oregon, visiting relatives and friends. Miss Emma Edwards has gone to New York, where she will remain several sev-eral weeks visiting friends. Miss Mabel Carlson of Weston has been spending a few days visiting friends and relatives in Brigham and Ogden. Miss Geraldine B. Jeppson and Mrs. Gladys Erlckson returned to their home in Archer, Idaho, after spending! several days in this city, visiting Thos. H. Blackburn and family. Friday afternoon, Miss Olive Jensen entertained at a card party of three June brides, Misses Veda Cooper, Nettie Knudson and Alice Morrison. Mr. and Mrs. J. O. Barker of Wil-lard Wil-lard have announced the engagement of their daughter, Miss RoBe, to Ser-roll Ser-roll Nelson of this city, the marriage to take place this month. Mesdames W. O. Knudson and W. W. Knudson entertained Friday afternoon after-noon in honor of Miss Nettle Knuason, who is to be married this month to Parley Bates, of Oakley, Idaho. Tho Civic Improvement club gave the first of a series of teas to bo held during the summer, Wednesday after-noon, after-noon, at the home of Mrs. W. O. Knudson. Tea was served from 3 to 7 by Mesdamos A. M. Merrill, v. O. Knudson, B. A. Loo, C. Keller and Elias Jensen. Miss Alta Pett entertained Wednesday Wednes-day afternoon at a birthday party. They were en route to New York City, where the younger Christensen will study music for a number of weeks. Mr. and Mrs. John Selley of Salt Lake spent Monday and Tuesday la this city visiting the Kotters. Mr. and Mrs. William Jensen returned re-turned Saturday evening from Chicago, Chi-cago, where Mr. Jonsen went to attend at-tend the Republican convention.
