Show oo MAIL TRAIN IN Shreveport, La., March 30. Rob- i bers boarded a Texas & Pacific mall j train No. 23 at the station here early f this morning as the train was pulling pull-ing out. They entered the mall car, bound and gagged two mail clerks and took from the car two pouches of legistered mail. They left the train at Shreveport Junction about two miles from tho station. The police immediately dispatched I a posse in automobiles. It was said 1 there were two robbers. The v-ilue of the contents of tho 1 registered pouches is riot known and no information regarding them "can be obtained from the local postofflco. No. 23 Is the fast mall train running run-ning between Now Orleans and Fort i Worth and left Shreveport at 11:55 p. m. ; After the bandits left the train the mail clerks worked their way loose from the bonds and gave the alarm. |
