Show FIVE HURT IN TWO AUTO ACCIDENTS Salt Lake. Nov. 27. -An otherwise tranquil Thanksgiving closed yesterday yester-day with two automobile accidents, in each of which fatalities were nar-rowlj nar-rowlj averted. As it was, five persons per-sons are nursing wounds ranging from minor bruises to serious Internal Inter-nal injuries. Two cars traveling in opposite directions di-rections collided at the sharp turn in the Bountiful road a little north of the Utah Packing company's plant In North Salt Uako at 9 o'clock last night. The north-bound automobile was a large seven-passenger car, said to have been driven by Lee Condie, 522 South Second West street, though he disappeared after the accident, and parties answering the telephone at the residence' refused to talk about the affair or give any information In the touring car, besides Lee Con-die Con-die were Lawrence ' ondie, son of P. S Condie. unsuccessful candidate for sheriff on the Republican ticket at the recent election, whose home is at 325 West Fifth South street. As in the other Condie case, no informa lion could be obtained at this home, but other passengers In the car stated that Lawrence Condie was riding In the front sea with the drher. Both Condie boys are minors. |
