Show KELLEY'S ARMY DEMANDS FOOD Pueblo, Colo., April-9. -After breaking break-ing their way from box cars Into which they had been locked, overpowering over-powering a dozen police and railroad detectives, 1G5 members of "General" Kelley's army of the unemployed, left a Denver &. Rio Grande freight train two miles north of this city today and marched back to town, demanding demand-ing food. The men were escorted to the city corral where tho police made ar-rangementa ar-rangementa to supply a menu of beans, bread and coffee. It was planned plan-ned to send the army east over tho Missouri Pacific railroad as soon as cars can bo supplied. When the train bearing tho army arrived here today, the cars were locked and tho pollco planned to send the train on through to Denver. The band, however, objected to this pro-grain pro-grain and tho escape followed. |
