Show MARTIN HEARS READING OF INDICTMENTS BY GRAND JURY For the first time since ho ap peared In court to have his bond re duced on the charge of assault with intent to murder David Edwards, Jo seph Henry Martin appeared before Judge N. J. Harris this afternoon and listened to the reading of four sep arate Indictments against him which were returned by the grand Jury last Saturday, but remained sealed until I today. His attorney was not in court and Martin requested that he be given the statutory time in which to plead. Thin wai accorded him and the Una; was fixed for February 6 at 10 o'clock in the morning. The prisoner appeared in good splr its and did Tiot look as though he had fared badly In jail. The four indictments include the securing of $1000 on Canyon road when the desperadoes had a pitched battle with a detective and John Larn bert in wrhlch a number of shots were exchanged. This offense is termed robbery and is alleged to have been committed April 8, 1913. Lee C Johnson and John Lambert are nauieS as the persons from whom the min ey was taken. It is known that the money secured was the property of Mrs. Ralph Bris tol and Mrs. Thomas D. Dee. Another indictment charging robbery rob-bery alleges that on October 28, 1911,' Martin robbed Mrs. Isabelle Wallln formerly Mrs. Isabelle Boyle, of a diamond ring valued at $100, and that a revolver was ued to threaten and Intimidate Mrs Wallln to such an ex tent that she gave up the ring A third indictment alleges that on December 16, 1911, the defendant committed com-mitted robbery by forcibly taking from Mrs. Katherine Culver a pair ot diamond earrings and two diamond rings valued at $500. The fourth charge against Martin is that on November 3, 1913, he un dertook to blow up the home of L. R Eccles with nitro-glj cerlne with intent in-tent at killing or maiming the occu pants of the home. The witnesses examined In the four cases are: G. Wr. Culver, Katherine Culver, R. E.
