Show STOCK EXCHANGE HEARING IS ON Washington, Feb. 4 With representatives repre-sentatives of the New York stock exchange ex-change appearing in opposition to the measure and a large number of witnesses wit-nesses ready to urge Its enactment, the senate committee on banking and currency today began hearings ou the Owen bill designed to prohibit the use of the malls, telegraph and telephone tele-phone lines for the furtherance of unlawful un-lawful or harmful stock exchange transactions. Samuel Unterraeyer of New York was the chief witness in advocacy of the bill. |
