Show JUDGE H. H. ROLAPP SPEAKS Oil PEACE MOVEMENT In response to the suggestion of the Peace meeting department of the International Peace league, that meetings meet-ings be held in the schools all over the country, a peace meeting was held at the Ogden high school this morning. The meeting was conducted conduct-ed by Principal Henry Peterson and the principal speaker was Judge H. If, Rolapp. In bis address Mr. Rolapp reviewed review-ed the history of warfare from earliest earli-est barbarian history until the pres ent and told of the efforts that are now being made by the International Peace league to establish internation-' internation-' al courts of arbitration, so that the differences between nations could be settled without the shedding of blood and the destruction of property He said that it was highly prob able that In 1915, a treats would he signed by the United States, Great Britain, Germany and France for the establishment of a court similar to the one that the International Peace league has in view. If this should be done, the smaller nations would soon join in the moement and peace would come to all In addition to Judge Rolapp's ad dress, a violin solo was given by Mary Parmley and a vocal solo by Mildred Ward. |
