Show TOO MUCH TROUBLE TO GET MARRIED San Francisco, Feb. 4. Carl Le-land Le-land Yandeven of Santa Barbara accompanied ac-companied by his fiancee, applied yesterday at the marriage bureau here for a license. After they had filled out the preliminary pre-liminary application blank, the clerk handed them the elaborate affidavit required by the slate. The young woman filled out her part, but Yandeven drew a line through the spaces reserved for the applicant. "You'll have to fill out another affidavit," af-fidavit," the clerk instructed, whereupon where-upon Yandeven crumpled up the affidavit af-fidavit and threw it on the floor "It's too much trouble to get married," mar-ried," he said Then he turned and marched out of the office. |
