Show 1. AND MROE8TMARK CELEBRATE ! THEIR 6BTH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Hestmark,' Carl "William Hestmark was born July 17, 1S32. Caroline Wilhclmine Jacob3en was born May 19, 1S33. Both were born in Copenhagen, Denmark. They were married April 7. 1S34, in Copenhagen. Denmark. Both Mr. and Mrs. Hestmark are now" enjoying liir-ly liir-ly good health, though Mrs. Hestmark' has Just recovered from a light attack of pneumonia. They left Denmark for America in the early part of 1801. nnd arrived in Salt Lake City, September 12, 1S61. where, they lived for about 1Q years Then they moved to Huntsvllle, where they lived a short time. Then . they moved, to Ogden in 1S72, and have resided here ever since- To them were born five children, two gi'rjs and three boys. . The girls both died while young. The three boys, William C. of Los Angeles, Cal,; Vjggio J. ol Janesvllle, . .Utah, and Alfred ,T, .of Ogden, .are all ajlve. Last Monday evening,-April 0. the Danish Brotherhood, about 100 strong gave a banquet in honor of the oc casion in the Odd Fellows hall. The hall was most beautifully decorated and the tables were laden with good things to eat and drink. Many costly presents were given the aged couple. Mr. O. D. Rasmussen, in be half of tho order1, presented them with a cut glass "set. and also hand-painted ehinhwaro. . Pastor Lund, of the Lutheran Lu-theran church of Salt Lake City, spoke at some length.' . and, among other things.' said he. .had . attended a great many weddings but -'this was the first 'time, lie had the. pleasure of attending a .wed'ding. anniversary where a couple cou-ple had 'been married sixty years-,. but said .ho fejt 3Uje;lhls would be ac-cojnpl.ished ac-cojnpl.ished more often were people properly mated . and to live corrcci lives. ( . ' A great many of the old Danish soivg-s were sang', and all enjoyed themselves 'tilt nearly midnight. 'On Tuesday afternoon and evening,, about 50 .of the. most intimate friends of N'r. and Mrs. .Hestmark gathered at' their residence, tlj-l Twenty-thin street, to cejehrate the occasion, A great, many presents, wqro presented to' Mr. and Mrs ' 'Hestmark, notably among them being. plants and' flowers of rare beauty from the Knights of Pythias of which organization Mr. Hestmark is .an olil and. honored mem "ber.
