Last evening in the Weber academy r auditorium, members of the So- ; phomore class of the school were hosts and hostesses at a pret- ty dancing party with about 150 p young people present. The academy orchestra of sixteen pieces furnished music for a program of 20 dances for which unique and appropriate pro-: pro-: grams were given ouL Over the entire hall was strung a canopy of red, white and blue stream- ; crs coming to a point at the head of the auditorium with the numerals 1G in white lights enclosed In purple and white shades. Around the balcony rail were placed pink blue and green rabbits, alternating and entwined with bands of purple and white crepe paper. On the walls were tiny chicks breaking their shell and miniature . 1 rabbits. Fruit punch was served dur ing the. evening In a prettily decorated : i booth. Mrs. Herrick and Miss Josephine Herrick were former residents of this city where they have numerous friends. They now have a home in Denver, Colo. WEDDING RECEPTION ' Mr, and. Mrs. David O. McKay entertained en-tertained about 150 guests last evening even-ing at a wedding reception given for Mr. and Mrs. George Richard Hill Jr who were at noon yesterday in the Salt Lake temple. The bride, formerly former-ly Miss Lizzie .McKay, daughter or David McKay and one of the most highly esteemed .young ladies of Ogden, Og-den, has been instructor in domestic science at the Weber academy, where she was much appreciated, ;md for the past year has held a like position at the Utah Agricultural college., Mr. Hill is also a. member of the Agricultural college leaching staff. A wealth of beautiful flowers were artistically arranged Uiroughout the McKay home nnd In the parlor beneath be-neath a beautiful canopy iff Easter lilies, fern and sin Max, the bridal party received the warm congratulations congratula-tions of their- guests. The bride and groom were attended by Miss Kath-erJne Kath-erJne McKay, hridesmaid and Jack Christenson, best 'man, of ' Logan. American Beauty roses were the decorative feature in the second parlor par-lor and the dining' room, in yellow and white, was a charming picture. On a cover of tulle over yellow satin rested a lovely basket of, yellow roses with streamers of chiffon ribbon to each corner. The bride was a sweet' picture in white crepe dc 'meteor and real lace and the bridesmaid wore a dainty pink gown. Assisting in the serving of refreshments refresh-ments were Misses Helen Taylor, Catherine' and Cora Volker, Vera Hones and Nettie Watson. Miss Beatrice Bea-trice Barnes assisted ' in Serving punch. An orchestra' was in attendance throughout the evening and furnished furnish-ed a fine program of popular and classical selections. Mr. and Mrs. Hill left today Tor a brief bridal tour, after whidi they, will return to Logan, where both will continue their work in the Utah Agricultural Agri-cultural college until the end of the school year. The bride has resigned, her term as instructor expiring with the school year. They will make their home in Logan, Lo-gan, where a new home Is being erected for them. t' .Mrs. William H. Frost, 181 W.
