Show FEDERAL OFFICES FOB DEMOCRATS ' The following appointments have been agreed upon by the Democratic powers: Joseph Judd of Manti, deputy United Uni-ted States marshal. Daniel Thomas of Salt Lake, deputy United States marshal. "D. S. Cook of Ogden, assistant United Uni-ted States district attorney. Samuel L. Page of Marysvale, receiver re-ceiver of the land office. Weston Vernon of Logan, register of the land office. D. S. Cook is a young attorney of Ogden and has been active in behalf of the Democratic party in Weber county for several years. He is the choice of W. R. Wallace and has also been indorsed by one or two of the other factions in the Democratic party. Mr. Cook is slated for the assistant United States district attorney's at-torney's job, under W. W. Ray. Both the Wallace faction and the King faction fac-tion of the Democratic party admit that Mr. Cook will be the man and they say ho is acceptable to them. .Mr. Cook was chosen over John Tobin of Salt Lake, Walter Herd of Salt Lake, and J. L. Brown of Murray, who were candidates for the place. oo |
