Show FUNERAL OF ELSIE the funeral services over the remains of the late elsie who died on thursday last from an attack of pneumonia were held in the third ward meeting house at 2 yesterday afternoon bishop presiding the services were attended by a largo number of friends and relatives and there were a number of beautiful floral offerings the remains were viewed by a large number of friends at the larkan undertaking parlor where the funeral cortege was formed before going to the church where the services were held the third ward choir furnished the music and there were also several solos rendered by mrs mary farley and mrs william S lockhead the speakers were david evans elder anderson of salt lako peter anderson of ogden and bishop wether spoon they eulogized life of the deceased referring principally to her faithfulness to her religious convictions having left denmark her native land where she joined the latter day balents church over six years ago coming to ogden where ehe has been ever faithful in the performance of every duly which devolved upon her they said that her life had been pure and beautiful and the young ladles of the ward were encouraged to emulate her example that they might be worthy as she had been to receive eternal exaltation A large funeral cortege followed the remains to the ogden city cemetery where they were laid to rest elder john taylor dedicating the grave |
