Show RAILROAD STARTS ON SPUR FOR BOYLE FURNITURE work to be rushed on the freight building before the winter months yesterday the boyle furniture company signed a contract with the railroad company for the construction of a spur to the site of their new warehouse on wall avenue between awen ty second and twenty first streets this morning the railroad company began the work of constructing the spur and as soon as the work Is completed the boyle furniture company will begin the erection of their new buildings the coal companies having buildings on the site of the now chort line freight depot have secured land at tha end of the spur that runs to the george A lowe companas Comp anys warehouse and the track has been extended to the site of the new coal bins the delay in securing privileges has been due to the fact that the armour packing company own a private track which had to be cross ed in order to build the track the railroad company were obliged to get the permission of the armour people and that has not been an easy matter with the prospects of the business houses who have buildings on the site of the new freight house being assured of no further difficulty in securing adequate work on the new warehouses will be pushed and the old buildings on the site of the new freight depot removed i As soon as the buildings are removed tracks will be laid along side and the work on the new freight depot started the railroad officials say that they are very anxious to get the work underway at once in order that the new depot may be in readiness for business this winter |
