Show BOYS BUILD BARN AT SCHOOL Work is progressing rapidly on the walls of the new concrete barn for the State Industrial school. About ten boys are at present engaged 'n the concrete work and the structure) will soon he rendv for the roof The barn Is to be 110x50 feet and will cost 54,000. As the boys of the school will do the work, that feature will not he an added expense to the state, although al-though the Ham can be figured at a valuation of about 57.000 The most Interesting feature of tho establishment, according to Dr. E C. Cowans, will bo the sanitary milking house which will adjoin the larger building "This will be .1 thoroughly up-to-date milking house " said the superintendent, super-intendent, -,and will accommodate 20 cows at j milking It will be 33x47 feet and arranged throughout for the best sanitation possible Outside the cows will ho curried and washed before be-fore being tied in their feeding stalls for milking. Another set of boys win clean clothes and clean hands will milk these cows Into clean pails, thus assuring the utmost cleanliness throughout the operation The houss will be thoroughlv cleansed after each milking and flies will be excluded ex-cluded by the liberal use of screens " |
