Sanitary Inspector George Shorten apparently has more direct right to tho title than anyone else in the health dopartmon, but, as his duties are so varied and nuineious, he hae decided to appoint a deputy. Mr Shorten Btated today that the counting of files brought into his office will consume somebody's time for several hours each day. "I have appointed the secretary 'o the mayor as deputy enumerator, inasmuch in-asmuch as she will bo able to devole considerable time each day to that work.
