It Is said that the boys stole a bl-. bl-. cycle from a young Chinese boy and 1 soon afterward wore caught In the act of trying to sell it at a secondhand second-hand store They stoutly asserted that they had bought the machine from another boy for $5 Johns afterward af-terward stated that It was he who had bought the machine and had commissioned young Ryan to sell It Johns is the boy who grabbed $20 in currency from the ticket window of tho Orpheum theater last winter and made his getaway successfully His stepfather afterward made good the amount so that the boy returned from an adjoining state, where he had fled to escape arrest Johns has given IiIb mother and stepfather much trouble durinjr the past year and, despite de-spite their efforts to reform him. he has established a reputation with the police that will probably land him in the Industrial school . oo |
