Show UTAH MINE RECORD DURING PAST YEAR The value of the mine output of gold, silver, copper, lead and zinc In Utah in 1911, accoding to Victor C. Heikes of the United States geological geologi-cal survey, was $36,837,457, against $32,199,185 in 1910. The total. gold production In Utah in 1911 was 227.217.28 fine ounces valued val-ued at $4,696,998,' against 195,052 11 ounces, valued at 14,032,085. in 1910, an increase In value of $664,913, or over 16 per cent. The largest producer pro-ducer of gold was Salt Lake countv which yielded $2,284,934, against $1,-77G.05S $1,-77G.05S in 1910. The West mountain or Bingham district produced $2,786,-JS10 $2,786,-JS10 of the gold credited to Salt Lake county and over 7 per cent of the total Utah gold output. The Tintlc district, which is partly In Juab county coun-ty and partly in Utah county, produced pro-duced $1,592,052, or 33 per cent of the total output Silver Production Increased. The silver production of Utah in 1911 showed an increase from 10,466,-917 10,466,-917 ounces, valued at $5,652,164 In 1910 to 5.514,702 ounces In 1911. Of the Salt Lake county yield the West mountain or Bingham district contrlb. uted 1.S00.410 ounces in 1910 and 2,-786,810 2,-786,810 ounces in 1911. The silver output of the Park CItv mining district dis-trict in 1911 was 3,428,651 ounces, an increase of S55.8S0 ounces or over 33 per cent from that of 1910. The Park City district in Summit and Wasatch counties, produced pro-duced 1,281.190 pounds in 1911, against 1,432,029 pounds In 1910. Lead Output Larger. The production of lead In Utah In 1911 was valued at $0,142,351, against $5,426,284 in 1910. Of the 1911 output, nearlv 35 per cent was derived from mines in the Park City district, which produced 47,037,G42 pounds , ngainst 38.129,761 pounds in 1910. The Bingham Bing-ham or West mountain district produced pro-duced 40,576,337 pounds in 1911, or 34 p recent of the total Utah lead output, out-put, against 30.271,016 pounds in 1910. Tho Tlntic district, which yielded 37,-553,455 37,-553,455 pounds of lead in 1910, produced pro-duced only 23,572,966 pounds in 1911 Tho production of zinc in Utah in 1911 was 17,8 10.261 pounds, valued at .$1,016,895. against 16,367,104 pounds valued at $SS3.S24 In 1910. This shows an Increase of 1,473,157 pounds, or 9 per cent Tho Park City mining district dis-trict alone produced 8,596,504 pounds of zinc in 1911, and tho Bingham district dis-trict 4,715,121 pounds The zinc concentrates, amounting to 13,156,682 pounds, all came from Salt Lake, Summit and Wasatch counties.
