Show oo AEROPLANES ARE REACHING CHICAGO Chicago, Aug. 7. Arrival in Chicago Chi-cago of the fiist aeroplanes to take part in the two weeks evonts of the Aero club of Illinois, aroused new interest in the selection of the man who will pilot the Chicago syndicates $15,000 speedster, which now appears to be tho main hope of America in defending the Gordon-Bennett trophy and the retention hero of the world's championship in flying. The first machine to arrive was the big 'Nieuport" monoplane of the aero club of America, which has been loaned to the Chicago club as a "trial horse" for the prospective pilot of the defender. Other aeroplanes received belong to Glenn II. Martin, a Pacific Coast flyer and to Hugh A. Robinson, flying boat pilot. |
