Show SUFFRAGETTE IS FOUND GUILTY Dublin, Ireland, Aug. 7. Gladys Evans, a suffragette, .was today found guilty of attempting to set fire to tho Theater Royal on July IS during an address by Premier Asqulih on home rule. Sentence was reserved. Three other suffragettes, Mary Leigh, who Is accused of throwing a hatchet at Mr. Asqulth on tho same occasion, and Mabel Capper and Llz-zio Llz-zio Baker, accused of being accomplices accom-plices of Gladys Evans in the attempt to burn the Theater Royal, are also being tried today. The prisoners, with Tim Haloy, their principal counsel, were hooted when they entered tho court room. Mary Leigh refused nil Information as to her Identity and announced she would defend herself. |
