Show grand'gulch AND VICINITY MINES Having spent over a month at thej Grand Gulch mines In Mohave county coun-ty below Moapa on the Salt Lake J Route, W. P. Jennings, general man-1 ager of t,lie company is again back home. He reports that owing to! heavy -washouts in irrigation ditches! in the month of November the output' of the mine was ver much dimln-' istfed, but now the regular force of l teamsters is on and the tonnage mar- ketcd in December should be up to normal. There are now twelve to fiftoon outfits hauling the ore from the mine to St. Thomas, the terminus termin-us of the branch. The December output will be several hundred tons. The ore nverages from 15 to 20 per cent copper. Some new developments develop-ments are under way on the 200 and 250 levels. Eight miles to the south of the Grand Gulch is the Bronzeil Mining company's property. It is shipping some high-grade running 3G per cent copper and some about 15 per cent. It is managed by Henry Gentry of St. Thomas, who is president of the company. com-pany. Brig and Sam YVhitmore of Nephi are arranging to at once resume work on the Tramp Mining company property prop-erty about twenty miles, to the cast of St. Thomas. Brig YVhitmore has already gone down to look after things. The Tramp has done some shipping in its dny and now has a very good showing of ore. |
