Law, vice prosldont and general gen-eral nianaser of the Templo Coal ! company, said yesterday that tho annulment an-nulment of the C3 per cent contract will mean a Jump of $1 a ton for a large part of the coal going to market mar-ket not only during the present stringency, strin-gency, but on all future contracts when coal is scarce. "Twenty-five per cent of the hard coal output Is mined by 'Independents under the Go per cent contract," he said "They must take 05 per cent , of what the con! carriers got for the coal at tidewater, the carriers keeping 3." per cent as a carrying and selling commission." |
