Show oo NAME SENT TO SENATE Taft Appoints Nine Members of Industrial Commission. Washington. Dec. 17. President Taft today sent to the senate the names of the nine members of the industrial commission created by congress con-gress to Investigate the relations between' be-tween' labor and capital. The men named were: Representing the pcople Senator Sutherland of Utah, George B. Chandler, Chand-ler, a member of the Connecticut legislature; leg-islature; Charles Simon Barrett of Georgia, president of the Farmers' union. Representing capital Frederick A. Delano of Chicago, president of the Wabnsh railroad; Adolph Lewisohn of New York, merchant and philanthropist; philan-thropist; F C. Schwedtman of Missouri, Mis-souri, an electrical engineer. Representing labor Austin B. Gar-retson Gar-retson of Iowa, president of the Order Or-der of Railway Conductors, John B. Lcnnon, treasurer of the American Federation of Labor; James O'Connell of the District of Columbia, vice president pres-ident of the same organization. The commission wlU choose its own chairman. |
