Wright & Sons and other busi ness men asking that tho ordinance be not repealed, was granted. The mayor urged, however, that no more space than a absolutely nece3 sary bo used for show cases, and said that it-would be necessary for the merchants to adhere closely to th? provisions of the ordinances. The chief executive stated that two feet would bo allotted. S. S. Smith communicated to the commissioners that ho has a piece or land for snlo in tho southern part of tho city and that ho should like tho board to look at It with a view to purchasing pur-chasing it for city park and playground play-ground purposes. The matter was referred to tho superintendent of strcots and parks and public proporty The city auditor again communicui-ed communicui-ed to the board that accounts for extra ex-tra work on contracts In tho city are being charged to special funds when there has been no provision made for the collection of money with which to pay the accounts. It was ordered that tho extra order work account of 150 due the J. P. O'Neill company bo paid from the general fund. Interest waR allowed on bonds and the city auditor instructed to draw warrants for the amounts, as follows: Water bonds. No. 14 510.1C0 30 Refunding bonds, No. 15 2,007.00 Sower bonds, No. 12 275.00 Total $12,442.00 Judgment rendered in favor of Chas R. McGregor et al. for land condemned condemn-ed by the city for the opening of Twenty-ninth street, In tho sum of $1,230, was allowed.
