Upon orders from the city commission commis-sion the chief of police is to notify all operators to cease raffling their birds. The chief of police held himself helpless because the operators held business licenses from the city On the pro rata basis on which merchants' mer-chants' licenses are issued, the turkej men paid about 85 cents for their licenses li-censes for December, and this Is all the revenue tho city got out of them The regular merchants pay from $10 to $50 or more each year. . nr |
