Plans aro being consummated for a central library In this town that will stand second "to nono, measured with towns of equal size and population. Shelving has been arranged In the annex an-nex building as a library and reading read-ing room and the few hundreds of volumes already on hand will be added add-ed to by tho various organizations. George S. "Dean, than whom wo havo none bettor qualified from his wide scope of reading, has kindly consented consent-ed to act as chief librarian In pursuance of a plan outlined by the state board of education the amusements of tho ward have been organized under four heads: First, theatrical, with John M. Bailey, Bail-ey, president; Dald E. Randall, stage manager; Walter Taylor, stage carpenter. car-penter. Second, dances, with S. W. Campbell, Camp-bell, George E. Brown, George Roy-lance, Roy-lance, Wm. Hill, Henry Warren and Alma Bailey as committee. Third, parlor socials, with Thos. B. Storey and nil the officers of the Mu-tuals. Mu-tuals. except S. W Campbell, used In the dance committee. Fourth, orchestra, composed of Chas. Storey as leader, with clarinet; Gilbert Gil-bert Randall as pianist; Arthur G. Ber-rett Ber-rett with cornet and a violinist to be selected by them. |
