Show EXCURSION OF OLD FOLKS Yesterday the Old Folks of Weber Stake were the guests of Mr. Simon Bamberger at Beautiful I-agoon, whore 328 over 70 yoars Of ago Vre euter-tained euter-tained in a u))lendid manner. Tho ilrst train left Ogden at 930 a, m. Threatening clouds were overhanging, over-hanging, filling many hearts with dismay at the prospect of a wet time, ' and although the rain began to fall ' soon after the train left Ogden, yet an over-ruling Providence (who is always al-ways mindlui of Old Folks), caused the clouds to break just before the train reached Lagoon and tho weather during the entire remainder of the day was delightful. Immediately after the hrrivai at Lagoon, tho committees from the various vari-ous wards began preparation for the noon banquet. The tables under the bowery wore soon laopn with the good things and surrounded by the honored guests of the day. The feast began at the noon hour. Many willing hands were there to wait upon the Old Folks and see that every one was well cared for Merriment, good cheer, and thanksgiving thanks-giving prevailed throughout the entire en-tire meal time and at 2:00 o'clock all assembled in front of the band stand, where the following program was rendered: ren-dered: Song, "Mary of Argyle," Ellen H. At the conclusion of tho above program, pro-gram, a hearty vote of thanks was tendered to the Honorable Simon Bamberger Bam-berger for free transportation over tho Salt Lake and Opden railway and to the Ogden Rapid Transit company tor free transportation on the street cars and to all who donated prizes and assisted as-sisted In any way In the entertainment entertain-ment of the Old Folks.
