To Thee, My Master, I offer my prayer: Feed, water and care for mo: and when the day's work Is done, provide pro-vide mo with sheltor and a clean dry bed Always be kind to me Pet me sometimes, that I may serve jou the more gladly and learn to love jou. Do not Jerk the reins, and do not whip me when going up hill Never strike, beat nor kick me when I do not understand what joi want; but give me a chanco to understand jou. Watch me, and if I fail to do your bidding see if something Is not wrong with my harness or feeL Do not overload mo, or hitch mo where water will drip on me. Keep me well shod Examine my teeth when I do not ent; 1 may have an ul-corated ul-corated tooth, and thnt, j'ou know, In verj painful Do not tie nor check my hend In an unnatural position nor - .... take away ray best defense against o H flics and mosquitoes by cutting off H my mane or tail.
