The electric storm which swept over Plain City on Thursday H is the first reminder during the season of thunder storms that oc- H casioually lightning bolts are felt in this region. Tt has been years H I since any one was injured in or around Ogden by the electric forces 1 of nature. 1 We read of a New Jersey town where the lightning flashes were H , so terrifying that the people of the community hid in their homes H I or cellars. Several buildings were struck and a church was dc- H I stroyed by a fire started by an electric bolt. H i While now and then the thunder storms at the base of tin H ' Wasatcli mountains are awe-inspiring in 'their revelation of the H power of the elements, the immunity from fatalities which has been H ( enjoyed proves that much of the released energy passes from the H clouds to the mountain sides, the peaks drawing the electric bolts.
