Show uu HOUSE CBMITEE REVISE SCHEDULE T WASHINGTON, May 2. The house committee on ways and means next week will begin working on the revision re-vision of the wool schedule. On this both the Democratic majority in tho house and the Democratic membership member-ship of the committee are divided, but tho committee division is not so wide as In the last few weeks. It is- the policy of Speaker Clark, Majority Leader Underwood and other Democratic leaders not to submit sub-mit a bill placing raw wool on tho free Hat. Many Democrats want raw wool on the free list, others believe the schedule sched-ule should not be so radically revised at this time. That a majority of the Democrats on the ways and means committee favored freo raw wool until a few days ago there is no doubt, but a majority of tho Democrats could not swing such a bill even in committee, nor could a majority of tho Democrats In the house effect its passage. nn |
