Show FEDERALS M IN C0ITR0LJT QJINAGA MEXICO CITY, May 2. This afternoon after-noon Ojlnaga is In undisputed possession posses-sion of the ' federals, and tho rebols, who had laid siege to the little town opposite tho Presidio on the United States side of the boundary line for more than a month, are scattered about tho Mulato hills, according to official reports received by the war departraont. Caught botween the forcos of Gen-oral Gen-oral Luquo, who has been holding the town, and General Manuel Gordlllo y Escuedero, who marched from Chihuahua Chi-huahua to its relief, tho rebels made their last stand. Tho encounter resulted in numerous fatalities, but tho number Is not given out At 10 o'clock this morning tho column col-umn of General Escudoro marohed Into Ojlnaga and with that of General Luque will guard the place. The first encounter General Escu-dero Escu-dero had with tho forces of the rebel leader, Jose do la Cruz Sanchez, was J at Chualllo Prado. This battle was won and the forco which had been besieging tho place proved unable to check the advance. |
