L MAY M UNION All the metal workors employed by the Harrlman linos will come togethor in a system federation if th.o plan discussed at a preliminary meeting at Snlt Lako City last night is carried out. As a result of a conference which was held at tho instance of John J. Suthons, a deputy of the grand lodge of the Brotherhood of Railway Carmen, a convention will be called for tho week beginning June f in that city for tnc purpose of organizing or-ganizing the systom federation. Tho machinists, bollormakors, blacksmiths, carmen and other mctul workors In tho Harrlman employ will Bo urgod to Join. Tholr affiliations with their craft unions will not be disturbed. SyBtom federations, as Mr. Suthons explains them, are intended to afford a now agency for tho peaceful settlement set-tlement of labor disputes and thus prevent pre-vent strikes.
