Mrs. Augusta Peterson was before Justice Simon Christeneen yesterday to swear out a complaint against her son' In-law, Sam Utley, charging him with going home drunk on Monday night, severely beating his wife, and threatening, threaten-ing, and even endeavoring to kill both his wife and mother-in-law with a club 'We are sorry to Chronicle the death of Hans Hansen, an old and respected citizen of Richfield, who died at his homo last Monday morning. He leaves a wife and children to mourn his loss and will be kept in the memory of a large circle of friends. His wife is a daughter of Thos. Hunt of Monroe. While a party of young peoplo were at Fish Lake last week, Jos. The first strike by the powerful claws tore his clothes badly, scratched him considerably, con-siderably, and started the blood from his nose. The yonng man now jumped behind a tree and fired hia only cartridge, cart-ridge, which waa duck shot, at the glaring eyes, and retreated. He thinks the bear was blinded as he saw him ne more. |
