Show Leamington . . . Mrs. Leonard Outsort A shower was given in the Relief Society rooms Tuesday evening in honor of the former Miss Verla Dutson. A very large crowd attended attend-ed and many lovely gifts were received re-ceived by the bride. Mrs. Charles Williams spent a few days in Tooele with her duagh-ter, duagh-ter, Mrs. Clifford Bennett and fam- ily- Mrs. M. C. Dutson is spending a short time in Salt Lake with her daughters, Mrs. Elmer Sodaquist and M-S Harold Gunn of Murray. She will have her tonsils out while there. The former Miss Loraine Nielson is home from Calalina Island to spend a few weeks with her parents par-ents and to see her brother in law Marlin who has just returned from overseas. Their sisters Delia and Nola are also visiting at their home. They are from Salt Lake City. Mrs. Rex Peterson was a Leamington Leam-ington visitor last Friday. Her daughter Helen returned back to Scipio with her, after spending a few days with her grandparents, and attending the shower of Verla Ver-la Dutson. Mrs. Doris Warner and friend and niece and nephew, Betty Yynn and Norman, from Los Angeles, were visitors at the home of their aunt, Mrs. Leonard Dutson. M-S Charles Williams have as their guest their son's wife. Mrs. Tom Willimas and son of Milford. Cpl Floyd Bradfield, while on guard in the Philippines, saw three shadows lurking around. He flashed flash-ed his light on them, and bagged all three Japs to save his own life. Later he helped bag eight more who were hiding in fox holes. It was the Japs lives or theirs. Floyd has been in the service four years and five months, and has been overseas ov-erseas for three years. He has 103 points to his credit. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Will Bradfield received receiv-ed word that he was coming home soon. M- T. M. Ord and family are visiting vis-iting at the home of her parents, M-S James Anderson, and also with his parents in Nephi. They are from Riverside, Cal. He has been in the service, but is now employed in a defense plant in Riverside. Mrs. Opal Walkinshaw and son have left for their home in Nevada after spending a few weeks with her parents, M-S Dell Bradfield. |
