Show I Coupons for Extra Sugar Being Mailed Out Approxiemately 124,000 persons in Utah will receive supplementary sugar rations of 4 pounds each, the chairman of the Delta ration board announced today. These supplementary rations will be mailed beginning err or a-bout a-bout Wednesday, August 15, to all persons whose applications were reduced to six pounds, because of the crisis which developed in the world's sugar supply. No second application need be made. The supplementary ration will be mailed by the rationing board. Only those whose rations were reduced to six pounds on and after June 15 will be eligible. A total of 7,200,000 pounds will be distributed under OPA regulations regula-tions during 1945 for home canning. Applications for approximately 546, 000 persons were serviced by OPA unpaid volunteers. This means that if all the sugar allocated for home canning is used for that purpose Utah housewives will receive sufficient suf-ficient supplies to preserve nearly 30 million quarts of fruit or an average av-erage of 50 quarts per person for the entire population of the state. The average home canning sugar distributed to applicants will be 13. 2 pounds per person. ,' Sgt.
