Show Funeral Services for Mrs. Edith R. Langston Funeral services for Mrs. Edith R. Langston, 51, who died Friday morning of heart ailment, were held Sunday at 2 p. m. The opening open-ing song by the choir was Nearer My God to Thee. Prayer, D. E. Bishop. Song, Some Time, Some Where, by choir. The first sqeaker was Pres. Harold R. Morris. Song, My Mom, by Ladd Cropper, accompanied accom-panied by Mrs. May G. Cropper. Tribute of praise, Mrs. Erma Cropper. Crop-per. Piano and organ duet, Perfect Day, by Bertha Love and Ruth Talbot. Remarks, Hugh Hilton.The closing remarks by Bishop Verdell Bishop. Song by choir, Some Time We'll Understand. Prayer Roy Hilton. Hil-ton. Burial in the Provo cemetery on Monday. Grave dedicated by Arthur H. Reeve. Mrs. Langston was an active member mem-ber of the church and served as secretary in the Primary for 15 years. She was a beautiful penman. pen-man. She worked in the Mutual, Relief Society, Daughters of Utah Pioneers. She married J. Alma Langston in Salt Lake City in 1933, and five children were born to them, all of whom survive her: Mrs. Orpha Taylor, Tay-lor, Raina, Carla, Clinton, and Dale Langston. She is the first' of her mother's family of eleven children to die. Her mother is Mrs. Hanna May Reeve. Out of town people who attended her services were Mrs. Rena Works and Miss Josephine Reeve of Reno, Nevada, Wm. A. Reeve, Courtland, Cal., M-S Bob Reeve, Midway, Mrs. Myrtle Brown, of Koosharem, M-S Floyd Roberts, Richfield, M-S D.E. Bishop, M-S Leonard Mecham, Tooele, Too-ele, M-S Royal Terry Lynndyl, Mrs. LaRue Fuller, Mrs. Virginia Dan-ielson, Dan-ielson, M-S Cecil Fuller, M-S Keith Langston, all of Salt Lake, M-S Earl Sagers, Delta, Miss Raina Langston, Enid and Dorothy Olsen, LaRene Hansen, Ogden, Miss Thola Hep-worth, Hep-worth, Provo and Bernice Hepworth of Ogden. |
