Show Oak City... Mae Shipley Sunday evening at the Oak iCty chapel services, Hugh Hilton, of the Stake lli.nh Council, was the visitor. He had with him seven yuunr ladies representiriH the Ll 1 wives of Hinckley; their talks, poems po-ems and music was enjoyed by an appreciative audience. Oak City town officials met Sunday Sun-day and have arranged plans for a V-J Day celebration, and as the President announced peace the program pro-gram was carried out. Swimming, dancing, band music and finally the extermination of Tojo was carried out. Miss Cleo Nielson visited Sunda in Oak Citv. She is employed a Richfield. Willis Dutson and Esdras Finlii; son spoke at Sacrament meetin at Hinckley. Sunday Recce Finlii son played a tuba solo accompai ied by Kamona Finlinson. M-S Gilbert Ethington and M P. C. Geertsen of Salt Lake Cii were weekend guests of M-S A. " Roper. While here they enjoyed sandhill party with 25 members the Roper family. M-S Walla Jeffery and M-S Bert Hales were attendance also at the party. Mrs. A. M. Roper spent sever days in Deseret last week visitii with M-S Bert Hales. While spending the summer wi her grandparents, M-S A. M. Rop Miss Donna Lee Mathews, dauc. ter of M-S James W. Mathews Los Angeles, was stricken with ;i pendicitis and operated upon at I Delta hospital, August 11. Unfo uneately they it had ruptured before be-fore she reached the hospital.
