' M-S Marion P. Bishop of Salt Lake City came to Hinckley Satur- . day night to bring their son, Kay, T back for farm work. Mnughn stayed stay-ed in Salt Lake. M-S Wayne and Ward Petersen returned Wednesday night from a week's tour of Idaho, Montana, and Yellowstone Park. Ward will leave on September 2 for Corpus Christi, where he has to report. Mrs. Adell Petersen is at Pine Crest Inn taking a course which is ' being given on treatment of polio. Miss Bernice Hepworth came from ' Ogden Sunday, where she has been working. She will teach business again this year in the Hinckley high school. Misses Shirley and Delias Crowley Crow-ley of Venice, were guests of their sister, Mrs. Thora Buchanan this past week. . M-S Clayton Palmer of Ingle-wood, Ingle-wood, Cnlilornia, are visiting their brother, Leonard Palmer and family-Milton D. Hatton, U. S. Naval Dental corps and wife, Helen, visited visit-ed Pfc. Harvard Hatton and wife over Saturday and Sunday. Mrs. Marion Allen of Ogden spent the weekend with her sister, Mrs. Harriet Spendlove. Clark, Willard and Grant Hardy were in Salt Lake last week on business. Raymond Finlinson went to Pro-vo Pro-vo this week to get a refrigerator. The Hinckley ward choir of 30 voices, under the direction of Ladd Cropper, presented the program Sunday evening. It consisted of selections se-lections by the choir, Male quartette, quart-ette, Blaine Spendlove, Cluff Talbot, Tal-bot, Orlando Hepworth and Ladd Cropper, and a trio by Erma Cropper, Crop-per, Bertha Love and Ruth Talbot. The guest artist was Mrs. Norma Hannifin of Delta, who rendered two violin selections accompanied j by May Cropper. Roma Ekins ac- companied at the piano and May . Cropper at the organ. M-S Verdell Bishop went to Hol-den Hol-den to a wedding dance for Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Stephenson. Raymond Finlinson brought his wife and little son home from he hospital Tuesday and they are living liv-ing in the Juel Moody home. Juel Moody went to Murray for the county fair last Tuesday. M-S Ray Hardy returned from Tooele, where they have been living liv-ing for the past year and a half. Now the war is over, we hope to see many of our old friends return to the farm. Monday night the officers of the MIA will entertain the teachers and all workers in the Hinckley ward mutual at the home of M-S Richard Rich-ard Shurtliff. Mrs. Nellie Pratt spent two days this week in Fairview. Wednesday night the family of L. R. Cropper gave a house warming warm-ing and birthday party for their mother, Mrs. Lulu Cropper. Vernon Love went to Salt Lake City Sunday to attend memorial services for his sister's son, who was killed on Okinawa. He returned return-ed Monday night. |
