Show Emloyees Given Outing by Service Drug Friday night the employees of the Service Drug were treated to a party by Mr. Adams. Closing the drug store early, they plowed their way through dust and hell only to be showered on by the rain of heaven on their arrival at Oak City. It was coming down so fast it seemed needless to pay a fee to get wet in the swimming pool. So, as swimming seemed out of the question they gave up and all started for home. Half, way home, they observed that the sky had cleared, and too stubborn to give up their determination to go swimming, swim-ming, they turned once again toward tow-ard Oak City. This time they enjoyed en-joyed their swim. Then on their way home they parked on the sandhills, roasted weiners, ate watermelon wa-termelon and had thier drinks, which were much enjoyed because this time it was Mr. Adams' turn to do the serving. Those present were Cora Simons, Gene Harris, Beryl Stapley, Janice Hodgen, Marilyn Jones, Erma Jean Bennion, Velda Boolhe Fred Adams, Shirley Boothe, Dick Sweet, Rosa-beth Rosa-beth Nickles, Paul and Louise Adams Ad-ams and as no drug store can operate without customers, Howard How-ard Hardy and Ward Petersen went along. |
