Show i i Married in Delta Monday, August 27 A charming wedding was that of Pfc. Ward A. Robison of the Marine Corps, and Ila Jeanne Stoddard, on .Monday evening. August 127. at the home of the bride's grandmother, Mrs. Delia Lisonhee. Bishop Archie O. Gardner performing the ceremony. cere-mony. The scene of the wedding was the back yard out-door living room. Standing against a background of blooming honeysuckle, the bride wearing a formal gown of rose satin sat-in with inserts of heavy lace and carrying a bouquet of gladiolas. Betty Jo Robison and Shirley Bunker, Bunk-er, wearing white formals. as the brideesmaids. The groom and his best men. Sgl. Manley Abbott and Sgt. Harold Woods, in uniform, all made an unforgetable picture. Following the ceremony the wedding wed-ding cake was cut and a tray lunch of ice cream and cake was served to the guests. Many beautiful gifts were leceived by the newlyweds. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Scott Stoddard of Bakers-field, Bakers-field, California. The groom is the son of Mrs. Sepha Robison and the late Ward Robison. Ward is home on furlough after many months of overseas service in the Pacific. The young couple will continue their honeymoon by visiting the bride's family in Eakersfield. There were about sixty guests present; members of the family and near neighbors. |
