Tho lattor got sleepy at nlno o'clock and vainly tried to keop awake. In desperation, ho openod a bottlo, saying, "Cousin Jim, lot's havo a nlght-cnp." Cousin Jim's faco brightened, and tho night-cap disappeared; but bo continued con-tinued talking, until his courteous country cousin finally said, "Cousin Jim, you must excuso mo. But I'm accustomed to going to bod at nlno o'clock. In fact, to bo frank with vmt. I s'posed you'd tako tho hint nnd go to bod on tho night-cap."
